THANKS FOR THE RESEARCH AND FOR SHARING!
All it takes is $10.00 in parts. You will need 4 brass 1 3/4 freeze plugs,Deep style. And two new hose clamps. First you take a screwdriver and loosen the clamps onboth ends of the inlet tube. Then gently expand the green plastic clamp with your finger and pull the breather tube off of the inlet tube, It is located next to the throttle body. Be gentle but firm in pulling this plastic tube off, It can be stubborn. Then remove the inlet tube from the car. Use a pair of channel locks to work the factory clamp loose at the crimp. Then you can gently pry up the small metal flap that is where the clamp is held together you will see what I mean. remove the clamps and the dorky looking plastic resonator and save for a rainy day. Look up into the holes and you will see that there is a ledge right at the top of the hole, Almost like they expected us to put two 1 3/4 freeze plugs into the hole, Flat side towards the inlet tract.one would probably work but two makes it nice enough to allow you to put a hose clamp right where the factory clamp was. Re-install and enjoy the slight but noticible increase in intake noise!
